Named in honor of German botanist with the same name, Gerbera is a decorative plant native to the tropical region, having numerous radiant petals and diverse coloring: white, pink, cream, orange and red. Being a flower that celebrates life, spreading joy and energy, Gerbera has become one of the most used ornamental flower. Due to its large capitulum and ray-like petals, the Egiptyans saw it as a flower devoted to the sun, always facing the light source, and the Celts used it to alleviate suffering and brighten their day. Gerbera's association with the innocence of children's hearts reminds of truth, purity, liveliness and gratitude.
