Anthurium, also known as the flamingo flower, is an epiphyte plant (fixed onto another without affecting it) with a heart shape spate and elongated spadix. The spate is a modified wax-like leaf and can be red, pink, white, green or yellow colored rare). Its name comes from the Greek words 'oura' (tail) and anthos (flower).
In universal flower language, Anthurium is considered a symbol of abundance, hospitality and happiness. It is a plant that thrives in acid soil, withstands poor lightning conditions, inside or outdoors, and can blossom year round if it is watered constantly in small quantity. Used in bouquets or floral arrangements, Anthurium retains its freshness and beauty for a long time, being great for celebrating special occasions.
